
Gemma Ginty brings a unique blend of architectural expertise and strategic urban innovation to her practice. Her career spans diverse projects and roles, reflecting a deep understanding of both traditional architectural design and the future of urban and rural living.
Her extensive experience includes five years at Future Cities Catapult in London, where she served as Urban Futures Lead and Head of Urban Futures. In this role, she contributed to a global center of excellence focused on developing innovative solutions for future cities, working with businesses, universities, and city governments. This experience honed her ability to think strategically about urban systems, technology, and spaces.

Prior to this, Gemma worked as a Service Design Consultant at Engine Service Design, leading projects for major clients like Dubai Airports, Cunard Cruises, and Heathrow Airport, focusing on enhancing customer experiences. Her work involved applying design thinking to solve complex service challenges across various sectors.
Her architectural foundation is strong, with significant experience as a Project Architect at MOLA Architecture, where she led projects such as a 10-hectare city masterplan in China and a contemplative center in Dublin. She also excelled as an Architect/Project Leader at Murray O’Laoire Architects, managing large-scale projects like the Dublin Airport Terminal 1 extension and high-density apartment complexes.
Earlier in her career, Gemma gained valuable experience at Boyd Cody Architects and Paul Keogh Architects, working on diverse projects ranging from residential extensions to large mixed-use developments. Her work included handling all aspects of architectural projects, from planning and design to tender and construction.
